Help me out, here… I’m begging

filmstripToday, Blossom left her phone at home when she went to work and I wanted to practice begging because I really, really want an Extreme Kong Flyer. I found one online that is 55% off for $6.50!

If I look pitiful enough, surely she’ll buy me one, right?

So, here’s the plan: We’ll put the best shot as a background on her phone and leave the page open on her laptop and hopefully, she’ll put two and two together and I’ll have a my Kong Flyer in a few days.

(Sometimes she doesn’t get the hints I leave around, but, every once in a while, she does.)

Turns out, Miles is a terrible photographer.

He says that I just can’t understand how difficult photography is. But, I held the pose forever and by the time he snapped the shot, I was falling over, every time. Sometimes, he didn’t even get my head in the shot! There was this one shot that was in sharp focus, but, it was of my family jewels, and I’m NOT posting that one.

If Miles thinks being a photographer is hard, he has NO idea what being a model is like. To prepare, I called up my buddy, Marcus Schenkenberg, and asked for some pointers. (I’d share his top-secret pointers, but, then I’d have to kill ya.)

Nailed it! Didn’t I?

Regardless of how sexy I am, this is not the begging pose that I was going for. I know I look a lot like Marcus here, but, I also closely resemble a prairie dog. While those little things are definitely cute, Blossom won’t get the message that I’m asking for something. No. She’ll just think I’m doing another one of my many impersonations, then she’ll giggle, give me a treat and go back to cooking.

Is there any way that you could help persuade Blossom to get me that dang flyer? It’s only $6.50!

Gotta go, Calvin Klein is calling.

Much love to my fans,

Miles is a hairy beast!

It’s true. Miles has more hair than a pig has smell.

Let’s try again. Miles has more hair than rice has white.

hmm. I’m not sure you’re getting the picture. Miles has more hair than Blossom’s hippie friends.

Ok, one more try: Miles has more hair than Robin Williams.

Blossom says that he’s part orangutan and Belgian Shepherd. I’m not sure which is responsible for the colossal amounts of long, wiry hair, but I read this morning that Belgian Shepherds shed several times a year.

Last night, as she pulled tufts and tufts into a big ball on the floor, I overheard her say that she would get a furminator today.

Well, that made my ears perk.

Anything that rhymes with exterminator is going to get me (and Miles) on high alert, so, as soon as she left for work this morning, I grabbed her leftover coffee and got online to do a little research.

Miles was pacing, so I made him go into the other room and lie down.

Once he settled down and I could concentrate, with a few google searches, I found this strange looking brush-type thing.

“Oh, it’s just a brush!” I yelled to Miles.

Miles groaned, reminding me how much he hates being groomed.

He’s a nice guy, so, he tolerates it, but, afterward, he sulks forever. He says that it really, really hurts when his hair gets pulled and maybe he is telling the truth, but, I know him and he’s the kind of dog that prefers not to get his feet muddy – prefers walking on cement, not grass.

Soooooo. There’s that.

He’s… uhmm… well… how do I say this? — He’s sensitive.

This brushing tool has a special blade that helps remove the undercoat and is designed to not pull. I found a medium FURminator on sale for $31.44 and left that page open on her laptop. Most other websites had them for $40 – $60.

furminatormediumWhen she comes home, she’ll be so pleased, but, she’ll think that she must have found this website while ‘sleep-surfing’. I wish I could tell her that I did it, I know she’d be proud.

But, my glory days would be short-lived and soon she’d be asking me to do the dishes.

Stay tuned and we’ll all see how well Miles handles being groomed with this FURminator thing.

While mom’s at work

So, my mom is at work. What do I do when she’s at work you ask?

Well, today, I’m playing on the computer and napping. Some days, I invite buddies over to play cards. I think there’s a pretty famous photo of that floating around the internet.

It’s been raining for 3 days straight, so, I’m considering building an ark, but, I know the neighbors will complain about the noise.

Meanwhile, I decided to share the photo of Miles and I. Don’t you want to come on a walk with us?

I’m also dreaming about a new frisbee. I’ve had 4 frisbees, the ones that are made of cloth, and I destroyed them all! I don’t know why, but, I love playing tug with Miles with a frisbee more than with a rope. I just can’t help myself!

My mom threw the last frisbee away when we were at the dog beach in San Diego. It was only a ring with loose strands of material flopping and wouldn’t fly any more. She told me that she wouldn’t get me another one. I am so bummed about that.

So, I was surfing the internet this morning and I found these Easy Gliders®! Frisbees

I don’t think I can destroy these. Do you?

Supposedly, these are designed so that no matter how bad Blossom is at throwing, they will go in a straight line. Also, they are supposed to fly slow enough that I have a better chance at catching them. I’m pretty good, but, sometimes, I’m so happy, that I jump instead of run and then I realize that I can’t get to the frisbee before it lands. Oh man, I hate when that happens.

I’ll show these to her when she comes home.

She’ll be home for lunch soon, so, I better get more napping in!
